RAGForge is our product for asking questions of your own company documents. RAG is short for retrieval-augmented generation: the AI first finds the right parts of your documents, and then writes an answer from them.
The problem
Every company keeps what it knows in documents: policies, contracts, manuals and old reports. When someone needs an answer, they search for a long time, ask a colleague, or guess.
AI tools can now answer such questions in seconds, and the answers sound good. But a smooth answer can still be wrong. It can come from the wrong document, from an old version, or from no document at all. When an answer matters, someone has to be able to check it.
What RAGForge does
RAGForge answers questions from your own documents, and it is built so that people can check its answers.
- It checks before it answers. It first checks whether your documents give it enough to answer from.
- It shows its sources. Each answer comes with the documents it used, so a person can open them and read for themselves.
- It says when it cannot answer. If the documents are not enough, it says so and gives the reason, instead of guessing.
- It keeps a record. Later, someone can look back and see what was asked and how each answer was decided.
RAGForge is an application that runs in your own environment. On request, we can also host it for you on your documents.
What it does not do
We would rather you hear the limits from us first.
- Sources help a person check an answer, but they do not prove that every sentence in it is right. For answers that matter, a person should still read the sources.
- RAGForge works from a copy of your documents. When a document changes, the answer changes only after the next update.
- It cannot bring back old text that was never saved. If a question is about an older version that no longer exists, it will say it cannot answer.
Try it on your documents
The best test is your own documents and your own questions, including some that it should refuse. We would be glad to set it up on your documents and run such a test with you. You keep the results, including the ones that do not look good for us.
